SPR # HUR46ALVEFixed in 5.0.8 release

Product Area: Client Technical Area: Editor - Spelling Platform: Cross Platform

SPR# HUR46ALVE - Load time performance of Spell Checker has been improved.
Technote Number: 1085484

Problem:
This issue can be caused by a User.dic file that contains some corruption or by
a large User.dic file.

This issue was reported to Lotus Software Quality Engineering, and was
addressed in Notes 5.0.8 Client and in Notes 6.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 5.0.8 MR fix list (available at
http://www.notes.net):

Editor - Spelling
SPR# HUR46ALVE - Load time performance of Spell Checker has been improved.

A workaround is to rename the User.dic file in the Notes \Data directory (for
example, rename it to User.old) and restart the Notes Client. This process
creates a new User.dic file in the \Data directory. Note that starting with a
new User.dic file means you will lose any customized words that you previously
added to your user dictionary during past spell checking sessions.Supporting Information:
